ho hum. here i am, sitting at home… sometimes on the porch, even though it is all of a sudden freezing cold in my dear city of melbourne. touring is done, for a while, and i am changing gears with the changing of the seasons.

sounds idyllic and, at times, it is. i do admit to hitting a flat panic when i arrived home and forced myself into an unnaturally slow pace before i was ready. you can’t tell the mind and body how to feel. you’d think i knew that, and i do, but i tried to go against nature for my own convenience.

hey all,
another photoless blog.
once again, i am feeling that tingly sensation in my gut, and it’s not something i ate. i’m about to propel myself back out into the world of touring (starting next week!) and i am sensing that something ominous is at foot.

a belated welcome to ihartangie.com!
i was waiting for my lost photoshop program to reappear, so i could post you some lovely pics with my latest lot of waffle. if i wait any longer, it’ll be 2009!
i had my computer cleaned up and reworked, as it was running like a glob of molasses. hence, i did not post whilst it was giving me grief, nor in it’s absence, and not when i received it back, running like a racehorse without a saddle (ie. missing iphoto, the link to my blog site, etc.).

and that it is… or always seems to be. i really wasn’t kidding when i wrote, ‘and now i’ve got to start all over again’. life is just a constant beginning.
wow, i’ve started off at the deep end here in this blog. all i am saying is that it always seems new and i am always learning… good and bad… and that’s good, right?
i think so. it is definitely keeping me young.

i am sitting in my dressing gown with laptop on lap. it is four in the afternoon on a tuesday. how lovely to be able to just veg out for a day. well, to work at home, without needing to bathe, dress or speak to a soul. it ain’t pretty, but it sure is good.

a week of firsts. how refreshing.
it may not have particularly been on my list of new year’s resolutions, but perhaps it should have been and needn’t have, all at the same time.
come to think of it, i do remember making a non-occasion based pact with myself to forget some of my phobias and superstitions before i grow so old, i curse myself for being too cautious and missing out on some good times.

i rose early this morning, (what? 9.30am is early for me, okay?) to the welcome sound of rain.
anyone that lives here will know we are in the middle of quite the drought.
what a refreshing gift for the last day of the year, albeit a drizzle and not a much needed downpour.
i opened the sunday age saw a picture of saddam next to a hooded anonymous man (rip) and sped straight to the lighter side of the paper… the entertainment supplement.
who would’ve thought it would bring tears to my eyes?
